
Quality assurance is the coordinated system used to help ensure products are made, checked, documented, stored and distributed according to defined requirements.
What to keep in mind
It includes supplier review, approved specifications, training, controlled procedures, traceability, in-process checks, deviation handling and release authorization. A strong system also learns from complaints and changes so that risks can be reviewed and improvement can continue.
